In front of a sold out stadium on a beautiful
day, the Westside Panthers hosted the
Falconer Tigers in Game 1 of the 2007
season.
The JV's started out the day with a bang on the
backs of hard running by Josh Colwell,
Anthony Slaughter and Graham Davis.
Slaughter had many long runs with holes
being opened by Colwell and the offensive
line.  Davis erupted for 4 touchdowns and
Derek Anderson added a two-point pass to
make the final score 33-12.  A great game by
the players and coaches.  Congratulations on
starting the season off with a win.

The tone was set and the Varsity team came
in pumped up with their new colors and new
attitude.
Dan Benson started the scoring with a nice
run to the outside to make the score 6-0.
Mathew Hoaglund had a stellar game with one
ESPN hightlight reel run which included a stiff
arm, a 360 spin-move and capped off with a
touchdown!  Matt Lombardo added the extra
point on the QB Keeper to make the score
13-0.  The defense was hitting hard with
several key stops, a total team effort.  Brett
Dehner capped off the scoring with a nice
inside run to make the final score 19-0.  A
shutout for the defense and a great start for
the players and coaches.
